Dr. Jonathan Ligrani holds a Ph.D., M.Phil., and M.A. from Columbia University, an M.A. in from the Pennsylvania State University, and a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado. In a career spanning various nonprofit organizations and consultancies, Jonathan has regularly secured six-figure awards for research, teaching, and public-facing initiatives through incisive and persuasive prose.
His proposals have been funded by elite domestic and international institutions, including the Medici Archive Project (Florence, Italy) and the Renaissance Society of America. In the federal space, he has composed NEH grants for international projects, initiatives that later garnered follow-on support from private foundations.
Jonathan Ligrani has previously held the role of Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama and as an editor for Geenius, an international startup offering editorial consulting for applications in the nonprofit space. He has previously evaluated proposals for national opportunities as a member of the Library of Congress subcommittee.
